For most of my life, I have been actively employed in education and in business. These demanding careers were financially and spiritually rewarding, but now, I am daring to dream a different dream, that of becoming a full-time creative, with no formal structure or salary. The idea of such freedom is at once petrifying and exhilarating. I will proceed cautiously, but I will take the first few steps, so, here we go...time to work at my art business and not just paint in the corner of my dining room forever. Time to envision life without time schedules and bells and report cards. Someday, not yet, but someday....Many thanks to Art Gallery of Viera and Pizza Gallery and Art Gallery for the guidance and encouragement. Most of all, I am grateful to God and to Kevin and my family for their love and support. My kids see me struggle and yearn and grow inch by inch, and i hope they are inspired to chase their dreams, whatever they may be. I know this about dreams - nobody goes it alone, and we all need people and loved ones to cheer us on. Thank you to Cathy and Lisa and Lori and Jeannie and Pam, too, for trying oil painting with me. I will be teaching English for a while yet, but as I do, I still dare to dream big dreams ~ Last year, I never thought I would be showing and teaching at a beautiful art gallery, yet here I am doing just that.
